Meet the finalists in Landscape Ontario's Garden Makeover Contest

Landscape Ontario has received hundreds of stories of friends, neighbours and family members who have helped to improve the lives of those in their community throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Meet the finalists below who have a chance to win the grand prize $25,000 garden makeover or one of nine makeovers valued at $5,000 — one in each of Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association's regional chapters.

Landscape Ontario is spotlighting finalists for the Garden Makeovers:

Learn how Guelph, Ont.-based Dr. Anne Marie Zajdlik is utilizing her experience fighting HIV/AIDs in the battle against Covid-19, Oshawa ICU Nurse Beth Game is knitting families closer together, St. Thomas PSW Lisa Fernandes goes above and beyond for long term care residents, Credit Valley Hospital ICU Nurse Rebecca Davis is supporting patients after her own two-year fight with cancer and how PSW Patty Orend does it all at Huronia Guest Home in Staynor, Ont.

Winners will be selected in each of Landscape Ontario's 9 regional chapters:

  • Durham
  • Georgian Lakelands (Barrie, Huntsville, Collingwood, etc.)
  • Golden Horseshoe (Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, Niagara)
  • London
  • Ottawa
  • Toronto
  • Upper Canada (Belleville, Kingston)
  • Waterloo
  • Windsor
In addition, Landscape Ontario will award a provincial makeover project worth $25,000.
